This workshop is for students who want to bring new energy and clarity to their college essay, or for students just starting the college essay writing process.

This one-hour online workshop helps students generate fresh ideas and produce drafts that can grow into a strong, authentic college essay. Through short, guided exercises, students explore meaningful moments and experiment with different ways of telling their story. They’ll also have the opportunity to share brief excerpts for feedback from peers and the instructor.

We strive to maintain a true workshop environment where participants benefit from diverse perspectives and meaningful peer feedback, as well as a small student-to-teacher ratio. To help us confirm sessions, please register at least 48 hours in advance. Workshops may be cancelled in the event of low enrollment, and any cancellations will be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.

This workshop focuses on strategies to help your child bring their authentic voice to their college essay. We’ll look at common pitfalls that can derail strong writing and discuss simple practices that spark creativity and support genuine storytelling.

This four-session workshop helps students move past the blank page and into meaningful writing by giving them a supportive space to explore ideas, get feedback, and shape their stories. Instead of working alone, students will have a facilitator and peers to bounce ideas off of, making the process more engaging and less intimidating.

By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a strong draft, practical strategies for revision, and greater confidence in their unique voice.
